What began as a partnership in marriage grew into a partnership in business. Joel and Jona have always shared a love for good company, good conversation, and great beer. This passion eventually grew into a dream: creating a place to gather.

A “girl dad” of three, Joel has always been passionate about many things in life: his family, great beer, and a wide range of hobbies. While building a career in pharmacy, he spent his free time exploring interests such as foraging, winemaking, and homebrewing. Of all his hobbies, brewing became a constant. After years of crafting beer in a small basement closet, Joel finally took his family’s advice and followed his passion. In 2019, Katahdin Brew Works was born.
